No one is precisely sure why. Some say the downfall of hats occurred when JFK did not wear a hat to his inauguration, thus forever branding them as uncool. This is an urban myth, however, as Kennedy did indeed don a hat that day.

frankhat.png Another theory posits that the shrinking size of cars made wearing a hat while driving prohibitively difficult. Most likely, the demise of hats can simply be traced to changing styles and the ongoing trend towards a more casual look……..

What People Don’t Know

A crucial thing people don’t know about Jefferson is this: he was fully convinced that freedom in America was fatally wounded—in fact on its deathbed—by 1810 or so. He maintained that he and his fellow founders had blown their opportunity and that American freedom had already slipped away.

Now, since what I’ve written above will seem almost inconceivable to many Americans, let me back it up by quoting a few of Jefferson’s letters:

Letter to John Holmes, April 22, 1820:

I regret that I am now to die in the belief that the useless sacrifice of themselves by the generation of 1776, to acquire self-government and happiness to their country, is to be thrown away by the unwise and unworthy passions of their sons, and that my only consolation is to be, that I live not to weep over it.

Letter to Nathaniel Macon, 1821:

Our government is now taking so steady a course as to show by what road it will pass to destruction. That is: by consolidation first, and then corruption, its necessary consequence.

Letter to John Cartwright, June 5, 1824:

Our Revolution presented us an album on which we were free to write what we pleased. Yet we did not avail ourselves of all the advantages of our position… [What we really needed was] to break up all cabals.

Cabals,” FYI, equates to “political parties.” (George Washington and John Adams also bewailed them.)

Letter to Samuel Johnson, 1823:

I have been criticized for saying that a prevalence of the doctrines of consolidation would one day call for reformation or revolution.

Letter to William B. Giles, 1825:

I see with the deepest affliction, the rapid strides with which the federal branch of our government is advancing towards the usurpation of all the rights reserved to the States, and the consolidation in itself of all powers, foreign and domestic; and that too, by constructions which, if legitimate, leave no limits to their power.

I don’t think any honest reader can see Jefferson’s actual words and still conclude that he’d have any respect at all for the modern US government. And please believe me that there are more passages like these.

Jefferson’s Hundreds

While Jefferson was fully convinced that he and his friends had blown their opportunity, he wasn’t one to simply give up. So, in typical fashion, he put together a plan to recreate the republic. And you can find this plan in letters to his friends. (As best I can tell, no one in Washington ever gave them the time of day.)

I’m editing these passages for clarity. You should be able to find the originals online.

This is from a letter to John Tyler, dated May 26, 1810:

I have indeed two great measures at heart, without which no republic can maintain itself in……………

The ”Battle of Lexington,” 1775, was portrayed as an unprovoked slaughter of colonists by the British. James Perloff believes that, like the sinking of the USS Maine, the sinking of the Lusitania, and 9-11, the event was engineered to start war.

First depiction.jpg

It seems Americans have been manipulated into fighting wars from the get-go.

By James Perloff

(henrymakow.com)

I grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts, where on April 19, 1775, a force of British redcoats, on their way to Concord to confiscate rebel munitions, encountered a small force of militiamen. Suddenly, ”the shot heard round the world” was fired. In the ensuing skirmish, eight colonists were killed, and nine wounded. The British suffered one wounded. This was a causus bellum for the American Revolution.

But, was ”the shot heard round the world” a false flag like 9-11, a pretext for war?

As explained in detail my online article The Secrets Buried at Lexington Green, Americans were deceived. It was proclaimed everywhere that the British had committed an unprovoked massacre in Lexington. The truth is individuals in concealed locations fired on the British first.

Sam Adams.jpgThough most Americans today recognize him only as a face on beer bottles, the revolution’s mastermind in Massachusetts was Sam Adams, whom biographer John Miller called the ”pioneer in propaganda.”

Adams, left, Temporary Secretary of the 1774 Philadelphia Congress, had secured a pledge from delegates that, should warfare erupt between Massachusetts and British troops, the other colonies would aid Massachusetts. But this carried a stipulation: They would only help IF THE BRITISH FIRED FIRST.

By mid-April 1775 the SECOND Continental Congress was 3 weeks away. Sam Adams desperately needed a ”British fired first” incident to bring to the Congress, lest passions for revolution and war wane.

Here is a HIGHLY condensed summary of my article.

• Artists’ depictions of the battle gradually evolved–from showing all colonists retreating, to all defiantly resisting.

• The original 1775 depiction [above] represented how Massachusetts rebels wanted the event then portrayed: unprovoked slaughter. The newspaper MASSACHUSETTS SPY denied the militia fired ANY shots, even retaliatory. In their depositions, no Lexington militiaman expressly admitted firing shots.

• As 50th anniversary celebrations approached, the truth began emerging. Residents of……………

(EXCERPT/Concluding Paragraphs…) ~The Daily Bell – Thomas DiLorenzo: More on the Myth of Lincoln, Secession and the ‘Civil War’

……Thomas DiLorenzo: One virtue of the 19th century was that the public school brainwashing bureaucracy was not yet very well developed. It certainly is today, which is why America has become such a nation of statist sheep.

Daily Bell: Is the current system of Fiat Money Power on the way out? If so, what will take its place?

Thomas DiLorenzo: Yes. That’s what all the economic turmoil in Europe is about. I’d like to see a return to a gold standard. This will have to happen if we are to avoid worldwide economic collapse similar to the Great Depression.

Daily Bell: How does the Lincoln mythology play out today in light of all these circumstances?

Thomas DiLorenzo: It is still the ideological cornerstone of American statism, but we are making progress.

Daily Bell: Will the US revert to a freer, more self-sufficient model?

Thomas DiLorenzo: Only if peaceful secession is allowed to occur.

Daily Bell: Is the pre-Civil War US model a template for a more viable society in the future?

Thomas DiLorenzo: Minus slavery, of course. The Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union were far superior to the Constitution that replaced them (and which omitted the world “perpetual”).

Daily Bell: Can we ever go back? Is history linear or cyclical?

Thomas DiLorenzo: I don’t believe in such determinism. We can correct mistakes. We DID deregulate oil and transportation in the 1980s; socialism DID collapse worldwide in the late ’80s/early ’90s and was replaced by more market-oriented regimes.

Daily Bell: Any other comments or predictions?

Thomas DiLorenzo: The Republican Party will continue to become more and more irrelevant and powerless; the Democratic Party establishment will finally strip off their masks and reveal themselves as the totalitarian socialists that they have always been; and the political future will belong to the young Ron Paulians…….

SECOND AMENDMENT COMMITTEE ~ NEW DOCUMENTS ON MY

SECOND AMENDMENT COMMITTEE ~ NEW DOCUMENTS ON MY WEB PAGE ~ The attached record of the last 13 presidents , entitled: Corrupt Practices and Misuse of Power, will prove that a deliberate plan is underway to move our people under an international authority and to eliminate our sovereignty and independence…. | NOW BLOG THIS! ~ GUNNY.G: AMERICAN !

Wake up, Americans!

Cradle-to-grave control is being planned. How will you stop the “progressive” (so called) when you are totally disarmed? According to reports, Barack Obama is scheduled to have the Small Arms Treaty be put on his desk for his signature on June 3rd. That gives us two weeks as of May 15th to get the word around to oppose Obama’s authority to sign this treaty. Do not forget the American principle of constitutional government is that the Bill of Rights is not subject to repeal, revoke or the rescinding process.

We, must protest our rights, and demand that a national investigation be opened in order to expose the direction into which our country and our people are being led. Disarmed citizens have no rights! Do not wait until the gates are closed!

Improved “Ultimate Conspiracy” article available May 27, 2013 Stephen Stone RenewAmerica analyst… “…So I went back last week and revisited the piece, making sure any loose ends, bold assertions, and factual claims were made impeccably sound and accurate, and any problematic words and phrases corrected. I didn’t need to change the substance of the piece – only the manner of presentation. On the whole, any changes were incidental, but the changes I made have given the piece more credibility, something vital to so sensitive a subject.”

An excellent weekend read that will further your education and help you understand why THE REAL PROBLEM is the constitution which was, itself, nothing but a coup d’état — the overthrow of a perfectly good de-centralized “government” and the establishment of the monster we are dealing with today. — jtl, 419

by H. Arthur Scott Trask

An assumption that dominates American historical studies is that the wealth and prosperity of the country would be much less without the existence of a powerful central government. This theme is but part of a larger, and now international, orthodoxy that larger political jurisdictions, as long as they are “democratic,” foster liberty and economic growth while smaller ones stifle it.

In Europe, elites hold up an all-European government as the golden road to a brighter and wealthier future. Others go further, such as Atlantic Monthly correspondent Robert D. Kaplan, and argue that eventual “world governance” by “global elites” is both inevitable and desirable. Kaplan, whose books are read by high-ranking government officials and journalists, believes that free markets, democracy, and liberty shall thrive under a world regime.

WATERVILLE, Maine — Two-time Academy Award winner Robert Redford is encouraging college graduates to be fearless in a world of challenges and to become collaborators with others and the environment to overcome life’s daunting difficulties.

Redford was the commencement speaker Sunday at Maine’s Colby College. He received an honorary degree of fine arts from the school before an audience of thousands, including nearly 500 graduates.

“You’re stepping into a world that’s, well, pretty rough. It’s pretty chaotic, pretty divisive,” Redford told them. “You’ve got climate change, you’ve got debt, you’ve got wars, you’ve got political paralysis. It’s kind of a grim story. But the story, I think, can be retold, and I really believe that you’re the ones to do it.”

The 78-year-old actor, director, and producer told the graduates they have been given the tools to make a difference.

Is she a lesbian?

That’s what America wants to know about Elena Kagan.

Is she queer.

No one will say that out loud, and I’m not sure how much of it is more than basic curiosity, but it is the top thing on people’s minds.

How do I dare say that?

Because it’s the truth.

Throughout the day yesterday, I went to Google and typed in the words “Elena Kagan.” As I typed in more letters, and the predictive indicator tried to finish my phrase, it gave an insight into what America is looking for.

The predictive indicator takes your keystrokes and compares them against similar keystrokes people have already typed in and then, based on what others have searched, offers you the same thing.

It is, in…

Invariably at some point in the history of a nation an event occurs which precipitates or dramatically accelerates the potential demise of that nation or empire. The United States experienced such an event in Dallas fifty years ago Friday.

Within months of the assassination of John Kennedy, America turned dramatically to the left as the avowed disciples of Franklin Roosevelt and European socialism assumed the reins of power and were the catalyst that unleashed into the American mainstream those true-believers in Marxist ideology determined to transform the nation, and who have now metastasized into a cancer on the American society.

President Lyndon Johnson, in league with an overwhelmingly Democrat-controlled Congress, shamelessly exploited the nation’s grief over the death of…
